So today I went to my university library to try something new. I heard that they have these little study rooms that grad students can check out, with a key and everything so no one else can have it if you go get food or something. I have not yet done any thesis work beyond the proposal stage, so I decided to try it, hoping that I can get some work done.
So i got one, and they're great! it's bigger than I thought it would be, with this big desk and room for two people, with two big comfy chairs, an outlet for my laptop, and air conditioning. And I can get the school's wireless internet in here, which I intend to use for research, but right now I'm making an LJ post, so there you go. But I am playing music, my shoes are off, and I don't have to worry if the phone rings like I usually do when I'm in the library.
I don't know what's behind this reluctance to start my thesis work. I'm certainly not too busy, and I don't think it's just laziness because i get bored when I'm home during the day. I think there's more to it. Instead of thinking about why I haven't started my thesis work, however, i intend to just start the process. For a change.
Good luck me!

I can't find what I need. I think I'm going to go get food. :)
